Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a Level 2 trauma, acute care teaching hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and a current NY RN license.

Details

• 349-bed acute care teaching hospital with Level 2 trauma designation
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) procedures
• Cath Lab RN responsibilities span admission, recovery, and discharge of the same patient population
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Cerner EMR in use

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NY RN license required; a screenshot or photo of a completed license application is acceptable if the license is pending
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; only AHA-issued certifications are accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Experience in both Cath and EP procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care, required
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• Duties include IV management, medication administration, triage, wound care, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and use of restraints
• Cath Lab procedure experience with admission, recovery, and discharge of the cardiac cath patient population is preferred
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but may be considered at a reduced rate
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell or Nuvance Health location are subject to an eligibility review process prior to consideration
• Travelers will be required to complete onboarding modules prior to assignment start
