Travel required: Yes Summary The Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator is responsible for sourcing and securing new clinical site partnerships and maintaining existing partnerships to support the externship experience. This individual also provides classroom instruction, laboratory integration, and coordination of students in the radiologic technology program curriculum. What We Offer The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $80,000–$100,000 per year. Essential Duties and Requirements Source appropriate clinical sites for student clinical rotations in accordance with accreditation requirements and to accommodate growth in student census; maintain a list of site contacts; visit sites to ensure appropriate and effective student instruction and experiences are delivered. Coordinate with the Contracts Manager or designee as needed for execution and/or renewal of affiliation agreements for all clinical sites; ensure adherence to agreement terms by both program and site. Assess student progress and make suggestions for improvement; assure accessibility and availability for students while in designated clinical sites. Serve as primary program clinical coordinator; schedule and coordinate visits to maximize student instruction and favorable instructional environment in the clinical setting. Communicate student progress and clinical site activities in a timely manner; maintain accurate records of time, travel, and instructional activities. Coordinate clinical practice to didactic and curricular standards. Participate in the ongoing evaluation of student progress; communicate progress and/or student difficulties to program faculty in a timely manner. Maintain accurate program records, including documentation of student completion of clinical hours and skill-offs, and completion of graduate and employer surveys. Assist in the rotational evaluation of students in both clinical and campus settings. Prepare lesson plans relative to the course of study; develop or assist with the development of curriculum within the confines of the topic area. Promote student learning through utilization of effective classroom instructional techniques, engaging lab activities, and curriculum-appropriate evidence of learning. Assess and analyze student mastery of course and program learning. Review assessment data and adjust curriculum and instructional methodologies to improve student learning. Contribute to outcome discussions at the campus, program, and institution levels. Fulfill all duties enumerated within the Statement of Faculty. Maintain records of attendance, academic progress, and laboratory performance; provide timely summary grade records to the registrar and/or assigned records personnel; assure student conformance to campus expectations; maintain class discipline. Supervise the laboratory component of a course; maintain equipment and consumable supplies; communicate equipment and supply needs to the program director. Attend required faculty, staff or operational meetings as determined by need or directive; communicate student difficulties to supervisors and/or educational administration. Participate in the evaluation of students, classroom, or instructional methodologies; maintain a confidential manner relative to academic grades, discussions, and personal or financial records of students. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred OR Associate’s Degree AND current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program
- year of documented experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program (preferred)
- years of documented clinical experience in the professional discipline of medical imaging.
