Probationary Secondary Special Education Teacher (Dual Certified)

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher/Math/ELA or Science (Dual Certified) to join our team, focusing on students in middle school. This role involves delivering specially designed instruction in the self-contained setting. Essential duties include comprehensive case management, including overseeing progress monitoring and IEP development, and facilitating transition planning as necessary. The successful candidate will also be expected to plan and collaborate effectively with district staff and outside partners, along with other responsibilities as assigned by the administration. Delivering specially designed instruction to students, grades 7-8 in a self-contained setting Posting is for anticipated 15:1 self-contained classroom Strong background working with Students with Disabilities in a self-contained setting Ability to create Next Generation Learning Standards aligned lesson plans and implement specially designed instruction for students at the Middle School level Case management in overseeing progress monitoring and IEP development of special education students in the 15:1. Providing transition planning support as necessary Planning and collaborating with district staff and out of district partners Other responsibilities deemed necessary by the building or district administration
