SAP Basis Consultant

Primary Tasks:


Maintain, configure, and tune SAP S/4 and BTP environments to ensure integrity, and stability. Perform daily administration, monitoring, and system health checks. If issues arise, troubleshoot, and perform
problem analysis and resolution.
Assists in continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze system logs and performance metrics and conduct workload analysis. Recommend and implement improvements in a timely manner to ensure optimal performance.
Perform system refreshes and maintain multi-landscape environments.
Ensure adherence to configuration management policies and troubleshoot transport errors.
Provide support and perform problem resolution during development and maintenance phases of SAP projects.
Handle, prioritize, and resolve tickets that range from break-fixes to enhancements. Able to troubleshoot high- to-moderate tickets independently. Coordinates and/orhandles technical support with business users, as/if needed.
Trains/assists junior Basis Administrator on tools and techniques used to analyze, configure, test, troubleshoot, and document SAP and SAP related information systems.
Provides feedback regarding performance evaluations for team members; recommends project staffing.
Work solely or in concert with others to author requisite documentation to meet a variety of company needs.
Experience with the maintenance of SAP systems/infrastructure and software components such as S/4 HANA, Ariba, GRC, Fiori and SuccessFactors.
This includes working knowledge of SAP Basis administration, managing, monitoring, transport system
management, system refreshes, upgrades/support packs, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP systems
Ability to translate business requirements into technical design and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Ability to comply with, and contribute to, system configuration standards and guidelines.
Ability to maintain status of tasks, defects, issues, and support requests daily in an appropriate tool.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and recommend / implement effective solutions.
Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

Work Experience / Skills & Competencies:


Hands-on experience in Basis Administration on S/4 HANA.
SAP Basis or SAP Security certifications would be nice but not required.
Exposure to BTP technology is a plus
Bachelor 's degree in information technology (IT), Information Systems (IS) Computer Science or related degree.
Experience in at least two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Project implementations.
