Works collaboratively with creative professionals to create visual communications that clearly represent the PCL brand. Creates visual communication plans for small to mid‑size projects and related initiatives, and ensures they are measurable. Provides graphic design consultation to peers, middle management, internal and external stakeholders and some executives. Conceptualizes graphic design ideas and content, presenting larger projects to manager. Creates and enhances brand awareness through internal/external visual communication. Performs needs‑assessment to determine current and future visual communications assets requirements and make recommendations for procuring assets. Conducts and coordinates printer proofs, quality checks and correspondence with design contributors/vendors. Adheres to brand guidelines in all visual creation. Conducts research, interviews and collaborates with subject matter experts to create engaging visuals. Qualifications Postsecondary degree or diploma in film studies or a related discipline. 4 years of progressive experience in a related field. Contributes to a multifaceted visual communications plan. In-depth understanding of the various communications and marketing mediums. Contributes in the development of strategy and guidelines. Demonstrates understanding of design and branding principles to create visual communications in line with the company brand. Experience with pre‑press, offset and digital printing process. Demonstrates intermediate to high‑level design skills through current work or portfolio that shows an understanding of impactful visual communications. Ability to design within graphic standards and guidelines to ensure cohesive visual communications. Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud and working knowledge in other specialized software required.
