Athletic Trainer Position

As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Athletic Trainer demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Athletic Trainer encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Athletic Trainer.

Athletic Trainer Job Functions:

• Organize and conduct clinics for patient/ athletes and coaches
• Participate in pre-season sports physicals
• Determine physical readiness of athletes to participate in sports
• Design and implement athletic injury and illness prevention
• Develop training programs designed to improve athletic performance
• Provide nutritional recommendation to improve health
• Advise patients/ athletes on the proper use of protective equipment

Athletic Trainer Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Athletic Training degree
• Minimum: 0 Years' Experience in Athletic Training
• Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of Athletic Training
• Other Requirements: CPR, Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. Athletic Trainer Certification
