Packaging Technician

Location: Lowell, AR 72745 Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.00/hr max Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hrs/week, 30 min lunch)

Overview UL Solutions is seeking a Packaging Technician for a fast-paced administrative role primarily focused on processing lab samples, operating test equipment, and documenting results. A key daily focus of this role involves taking detailed photographs of items, products, and packaging, and uploading them using an Excel Macro. The Packaging Tech will work alongside senior staff, engineers, and technicians to execute test plans, interpret basic schematics, record data, and support general administrative functions as needed.

Job Specifications

• Take detailed photos of items, products, and packaging, uploading images using Excel Macros.
• Build and adapt basic setups and test equipment; operate general laboratory tools and software.
• Extract and input information using computer terminals and designated software.
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets to perform tests and record observed or calculated data.
• Read and interpret measuring instruments, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions.
• Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to explain and communicate test performance and results.
• Perform routine care and maintenance of designated test equipment and the immediate work area.
• Communicate with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
• Support other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
• Integrate continuous improvement concepts into daily workflows and adhere to all physical/digital security practices and the Code of Conduct.
• Ability to lift or move approximately 15 lbs.
• Experience in a relevant scientific field with a good understanding of laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems.
