EHC is looking for a Forklift Operator in the Lancaster, TX Area

Status: Full-Time
Start Date: 09/03/2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-4:00am

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving pallets and materials throughout warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations. This role supports production and inventory requirements while ensuring the safe loading and unloading of trailers. In some locations, forklift operators may also be required to manually sort pallets as part of daily operations.

Interviews will be scheduled following manager review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move pallets, products, and materials to support operational needs.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment by using controls, levers, and pedals.
• Position forks or lifting devices under, over, or around loads and transport materials to designated locations.
• Load, unload, stack, and relocate materials as needed.
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and operating guidelines at all times.
• Maintain productivity standards while contributing to a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Make appropriate decisions regarding material movement to maximize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Strong math, reading, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and accurately maintain records.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and injury prevention.
• Understanding that overtime may be required and considered mandatory based on business needs.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and additional hours as needed.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and other outdoor or warehouse elements.

• Regular use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a forklift.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain awareness of surroundings.
• Work environment noise levels may vary by location.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may include:
  • Safety glasses or eye protection
  • Hearing protection (where required)
  • Safety footwear
• Must have good balance, coordination, and visual acuity, including close, distance, and color vision.
• May be required to manually lift pallets or materials weighing between 50 and 75 pounds.
