Litigation Associate Attorney

Our client is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing Insurance Defense practice. Opportunities are available in both the Uniondale (Long Island) and Fishkill (Hudson Valley) offices.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to build a long-term career in insurance defense litigation while gaining meaningful courtroom experience and working alongside an experienced team of trial attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle, construction, property damage, and general liability claims.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
• Appear in state and local courts throughout New York and surrounding regions.
• Develop litigation strategies and effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
• Work closely with partners, attorneys, and support staff to move cases toward resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 1-8 years of litigation experience, insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines.
• Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Passion for litigation and professional growth.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $105,000-$130,000 (commensurate with experience).

Billable Expectation: Approximately 180 billable hours per month. (Hybrid work flexibility may be considered for the right candidate; however, this is primarily an in-office position and is not a fully remote role.)
