Job Summary: This role supports the needs of patients, staff, and medical professionals by efficiently performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical appliances, systems, and clinical equipment. Responsibilities include upkeep of boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, medical gas systems, refrigeration units, water pumps, and more. The technician will utilize building automation systems to monitor and control temperature throughout the facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain electrical appliances, outlets, wiring, and circuits up to 600 volts AC power systems. Conduct routine checks and testing on emergency power generators.
• Inspect, test, and replace electrical lighting, power circuits, and equipment using instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters.
• Perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs on plumbing systems including ice machines, toilets, sinks, showers, fountains, and drains. Install and repair minor pipes and fixtures, testing for leaks.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems including large air handlers, boilers, chillers, split systems, and cooling towers.
• Survey energy management systems to ensure proper HVAC function, including thermostats, airflow, VAV boxes, dampers, and water control valves.
• Perform light carpentry tasks such as door inspections, hardware repairs, drywall patching, and installation of wall-mounted items. Assist with infection prevention barrier installation and upkeep.
• Maintain and repair commercial laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and repair ice machines, water recovery systems, lift stations, grease traps, roof drain screens, and air grilles.
• Respond to maintenance service calls, including on-call and weekend shifts. Basic computer and typing skills are beneficial.
• Keep maintenance tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
• Drive facility vehicles to satellite locations and surrounding areas to perform duties and transport repair parts. A valid US driver's license is required.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• Minimum of three years hands-on experience in industrial or commercial maintenance; healthcare experience is preferred.
• Trade school graduate or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.

This position is located in a regional healthcare facility in the Midwest United States.
