Digital Literacy Teacher - .6 FTE

Starting Date: Sep 1, 2026 Job Description The Greenmont Avenue Elementary School is seeking a part‑time (.6 FTE) Digital Literacy Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is benefits eligible. Responsibilities Teach digital literacy skills in support of integration of technology into students' learning. Develop lesson plans and supplementary materials, adapting curriculum to meet student needs. Maintain and advance knowledge of digital learning resources and educational technologies. Instruct students in subject matter specified in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Plan a technology education program involving demonstrations, discussions, and student experiments. Teach proper use, care and safe handling of equipment. Evaluate academic and social growth of students, prepare report cards and keep records (attendance, checklists). Manage class operations by creating a positive environment and delivering instruction effectively. Communicate with parents regarding student progress. Supervise students in assigned out-of‑classroom activities during the day. Model ethical behavior, skills proficiency and responsible use of online and educational technology resources. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal. Qualifications Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Digital Literacy. SEI endorsement. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and trends in a digital environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students. Ability to work positively and collaboratively on a team. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
