Position Description The Project Manager at Overland Construction is responsible for the financial, contractual, and client-facing leadership of commercial construction projects. This role ensures projects are properly planned, contracted, and financially managed while working closely with field leadership to support successful execution. The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving project performance through planning, procurement, design coordination, and communication, ensuring each project is aligned with both client expectations and company goals. Responsibilities Own and manage overall project financial performance Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking Manage billing, pay applications, and change orders Identify and mitigate financial risks Subcontractor Buyout Lead subcontractor buyout and contract execution Define scopes of work and negotiate subcontract agreements Select subcontractors aligned with project budget and schedule Project Planning Lead project startup and mobilization efforts Align scope, schedule, budget, and resources prior to construction Ensure the project is set up for successful execution Design Coordination Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants Oversee RFIs and submittals (with project engineer support) Resolve design issues and maintain alignment between design and field Owner Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for the owner Lead meetings and provide consistent project updates Communicate financial status, schedule impacts, and key decisions Project Closeout Lead financial and administrative closeout Reconcile final costs and ensure contractual completion Coordinate final documentation and turnover What Success Looks Like Projects are delivered on budget and on time with strong financial performance Subcontracts are clearly defined and minimize risk Owners receive proactive, consistent communication Field teams are supported with clear plans, aligned documents, and timely decisions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction project management Strong experience managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and overall project performance Proven experience leading subcontractor procurement, scope definition, and contract negotiation Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools) Strong financial and analytical capabilities with a detail-oriented mindset Effective communicator with strong relationship management skills, both internally and with clients Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment and decision-making ability Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and align with field teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Overland Group, Inc.
