About the Position
Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience required Acute hospital OR experience required Travel experience required Must have basic computer skills License: Must possess required licensure Certifications: IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required Must-Have: 1 additional Saturday or holiday per 6-week schedule 1 Saturday per 6-week schedule - Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Holiday coverage only if on call Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the proper processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Candidates must demonstrate experience in an acute hospital operating room environment. Aseptic technique and effective use of sterilization methods are essential skills. Knowledge of various medical equipment and cleaning procedures is required. The role requires adherence to strict protocols for instrument sterilization and documentation. On-call duties include weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled. Flu vaccine compliance is mandatory with no exemptions.
