Sr. Couchbase Database Administrator

As a Couchbase Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our Couchbase database clusters. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the database infrastructure while working closely with the development and operations teams to meet business requirements. Responsibilities: Database Management: Install, configure, and upgrade Couchbase database clusters. Monitor database performance and ensure optimal performance by tuning configurations and troubleshooting issues. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry best practices. Scaling and High Availability: Design and implement strategies for database scaling and high availability. Implement failover and replication solutions to minimize downtime. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement caching and indexing strategies to improve query performance. Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools for database provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring. Implement DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Collaboration: Work closely with developers and operations teams to ensure database requirements are met. Provide support and guidance to the development team for database-related tasks. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience as a Couchbase Database Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of Couchbase database architecture and administration. Proficiency in database tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
