• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $75.00–$80.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night (4x12 Hours), 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Travel Requirements: Not required (accepts first-time travelers)
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Surgical ICU (SICU) travel nursing position managing trauma and transplant patients at a busy hospital with high acuity. The position is planned to begin on night shift due to current need and is expected to evolve to day shift after approximately one month.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Surgical ICU, specializing in trauma and transplant patient populations
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–2
• Float to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed
• Work every other weekend as required
• Utilize Epic for all charting and documentation

Education Requirements

• MA (Massachusetts) RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• SICU (Surgical ICU) experience is required for submission
• Candidates with previous travel experience AND Level I Trauma experience may also be considered for submission

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to manage high-acuity trauma and transplant patients
• Ability to float to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• High-acuity, busy hospital environment
• Surgical ICU setting with trauma and transplant patient populations
• Night shift (4x12), with planned transition to day shift after approximately one month
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float requirements to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed

Important Notes

• Candidates will be required to pass a pass/fail tele test at orientation with 1 attempt only. Failure results in contract consequences — candidates should be prepared prior to start.
• Flu vaccine is required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
