Systems Engineer

Overview Marathon TS is seeking a Secret Cleared Systems Engineer to support our client on a long-term contract in Sunnyvale, CA. This position is onsite and requires TS sponsorship. Responsibilities Support the MASC contract and work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA on a normal day shift; extended hours may be required in special circumstances when additional engineering support is needed. A current Security+ Certification is required. Provide comprehensive support to the MASC team, including systems administration and help desk expertise for sustainment and development environments on MASC, covering Windows, Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other operating systems. Perform configuration, data management, and software builds using Change Management (CM) tools; collaborate with functional teams to resolve findings and participate in Agile activities. Develop and apply cybersecurity solutions, ensuring compliance with computer security policy and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Install, update, and patch software, including troubleshooting and support. Maintain and develop documentation, including Version Description Documents (VDDs) and job aides. Support Digital Transformation activities, CDRL preparations, and ad hoc MASC projects. Generate and document metrics; track and document all efforts. Travel to remote sites as needed to perform efforts. Provide support across the program information systems, including troubleshooting and remediation of issues. Provide Ground Controller support for operations, including resetting user passwords, adjusting satellite positions, monitoring telemetry systems, resolving communication issues, and supporting data center operations.
