Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

Lead automation and controls projects from concept through commissioning. Design control systems, program PLCs and HMIs, troubleshoot equipment, and support customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems for automated equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control hardware.
• Develop electrical schematics, control architectures, and system documentation.
• Gather customer requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and customer teams throughout project execution.
• Maintain programming standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in controls, automation, or electrical engineering.
• Experience programming PLCs from scratch, preferably Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.

Work Environment

This is primarily an onsite role with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week and 0% travel requirements!

This is a Permanent position based out of DeForest, WI.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
