On Site Home Visitor, RN/BSN or LCSW/LMFT, Fort Campbell, Kentucky

Overview Provide support to all eligible families with expectant parents and parents of children from birth to 3 years of age. This program seeks to support young military families, enhancing mission readiness, improving adaptation to military life, and fostering healthy relationships that prevent family violence. Activities and services include information and referrals, parenting programs, respite care, and supervised playtime for children. Families assessed at risk for child maltreatment and/or family violence receive additional, more intensive support. Responsibilities Deliver effective, timely, and confidential services to families at risk for child maltreatment and family violence. Identify and report suspected child abuse, neglect, and domestic abuse. Assess developmental milestones and referral procedures for special needs or developmental delays. Assess and strengthen adaptation to parenthood and parental capacity for problem‑solving, building trusting relationships, and seeking help. Promote developmentally appropriate parenting skills, disciplinary techniques, and parent‐child communication skills. Facilitate informal and formal community networks to build positive relationships and reduce social isolation. Develop relationships with local community and military installation officials and organizations to maximize program effectiveness. Utilize community‐based services and formal/informal community networks to provide concrete support to families in crisis. Screen for, assess, and address protective and risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect using a strengths‑based, family‑centered developmental approach. Maintain a tracking system with up‑to‑date case status. Participate in monthly conference calls and annual training events. Qualifications At least two (2) years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, or medical social work. Current and active license as an LCSW, LMFT, or RN. LCSWs must possess a current, valid, unrestricted clinical license and a master’s degree in Social Work. RNs must hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing, an unrestricted state or territorial license, and at least two (2) years of direct experience with child abuse or domestic abuse, maternal or child health, public/community health, or mental health. Must have home visitation experience. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Working knowledge of basic computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to use general office equipment and communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Capacity to work under time pressure, meet deadlines, and travel as needed in accordance with AFSC travel policies. Ability to enter private homes with varied accessibility and transport self from office locations to private homes, other offices, and program activities. Salary Range Minimum: $58,440; Maximum: $93,500. The range is based on current national data and may vary by location. Pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. The position may also be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
