Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Department Director or designee, the Admitting Coordinator I is responsible for processing in and out patients at the front desk, scheduling exams, verifying insurance information and patients' demographics, and verifying proper orders for billing.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Computer literate and typing skills
- Insurance billing preferred
- Knowledge of all areas of diagnostic imaging including Cardiology and Pulmonary departments
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
Licensure and Certification:
- None applicable
Education:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
Experience:
- Previous experience of at least one year in hospital or medical office setting
- Medical terminology strongly preferred
