Linear Accelerator Service Technician I

Job Title

Provides advanced levels of equipment and/or departmental service and support, and performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair and general maintenance on specialized Linear Accelerator equipment, and related technologies.

Minimum Requirements

1 - Two or more years hand's on experience performing first call type support and maintenance on both general and model specific equipment in the Linear Accelerator imaging field. (includes linear accelerators; simulators; stereotactic systems; treatment planning systems; and other systems specific to Radiation Oncology). 2 - Three or more years hand's on experience performing first call type support and maintenance on both general and model specific medical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

An Associates degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or equivalent technical field, or completion of advanced service schools pertaining to the specific equipment requiring support as evident by program certificates. Two or more years of hand's on experience performing first call type support and maintenance on both general and model specific equipment in the Linear Accelerator imaging field. (includes linear accelerators; simulators; stereotactic systems; treatment planning systems; and other systems specific to Radiation Oncology). Demonstrated knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic and test equipment; quality assurance procedures; preventive maintenance procedures; first call troubleshooting techniques, generally to the system level, and use of diagnostic service software applications on general as well as specialty clinical equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of source, use and applications of alternative parts providers as related to general as well as specific types or categories of biomedical equipment.

Must have and maintain a valid US driver's license and good driving record.

Must be able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
