Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - Confluence Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Required Credentials: - Registered, registry eligible, or certified by the NBRC. - Must be a graduate of an approved school of respiratory care.

Unit Details: - Responsible for the safe and effective administration of medically prescribed medications, knowing their indications and contraindications. - Knows and follows the indications and contraindications, the policy and procedures in administering therapeutic modalities to include Nebulizer, CPT, Flutter Valve, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow. - Sets up and monitors all oxygen aerosol administration. Maintains oxygen cylinders in proper carriers at all times. - Performs all aspects of artificial airway care. Able to perform deep blind tracheal suctioning on patients. - Familiar with measuring devices to include, but not limited to, pulse oximeter, Wrights respirometer, manometer, cuff/pressure, oxygen blenders. - Responsible for the setup, safety check, monitoring, and troubleshooting of mechanical ventilators. - Familiar with CPAP set up and administration of CPAP. - Maintains accurate and legible records, documenting clinical notes in patients’ charts.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 10/31/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
