Job Summary:

Provides diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services, utilizing specialized imaging techniques and radiopharmaceuticals to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Performs procedures with professional judgment, ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Execute diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures by preparing patients and selecting appropriate imaging equipment.
  
  
• 
  Correlate patient's clinical history with procedures to facilitate accurate interpretation by licensed physicians.
  
  
• 
  Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosing and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, positioning patients and immobilizing as needed to optimize image quality.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate technical quality of images, ensuring accurate identification and documentation for clinical use.
  
  
• 
  Maintain patient safety by practicing aseptic techniques, verifying informed consent, and initiating life support when necessary.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an associate or bachelors degree from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
  
  
• 
  Be registered as an OBMI and ARRT nuclear medicine technologist with current BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, patient care, and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Possess excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
  
  
• 
  Have the ability to perform venipuncture and maintain accurate records, respecting confidentiality.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience is preferred but not required; a minimum of 2 years' experience is advantageous.
