Operations Manager

Our client is a Mauldin/Greenville-area company that buys, refurbishes, and resells electronics. The business operates a structured warehouse production environment where product moves through receiving, inspection, testing and diagnostics, cleaning, grading, and storage before going to market. All sales are conducted through online channels. The team includes 15 to 20 production associates, and the business continues to grow in volume and velocity. Summary The company is searching for an operations leader to lead the production floor and own the full operational function. This role reports to senior leadership and carries direct responsibility for the 15 to 20 production associates on the floor. The person in this seat will have real authority to evaluate the operation, visualize what it should look like, and make the changes needed to get there. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, and the company is open to adding headcount as the role demands it. Why This Role This is not a management role in the traditional sense. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15 to 20 production associates Own the end-to-end production workflow: receiving, inspection, testing and diagnostics, cleaning, grading, and inventory storage Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that increase throughput and reduce lag between receipt and listing Physically inspect electronics by eye and touch to assess and confirm product condition and grading accuracy Hire the right people, delegate effectively, and hold the team accountable to quality and productivity standards Think ahead on volume to keep the operation from falling behind on product readiness Determine what team structure is needed and build it, including whether a manager layer is appropriate Create a culture of urgency, accountability, and ownership on the floor Communicate proactively with leadership on performance, staffing needs, and capacity Qualifications Experience in operations, warehouse management, or production leadership Demonstrated ability to lead hourly or production teams with respect and results Process-oriented mindset with the ability to design, implement, and improve workflows Hands‑on and detail-oriented, comfortable working on the floor alongside the team Strong sense of urgency and ability to think ahead and anticipate capacity needs Able to operate autonomously and make decisions without constant direction Continuous improvement mindset – always looking for a better way and not satisfied with the status quo A natural leader who earns respect through competence, consistency, and character Warm, positive personality that creates a good environment for the people around them Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; other degrees or equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered Experience in electronics, refurbishment, or distribution is a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr Connexa Search Group
