About the Role:
Join Carter's Child Care and Learning Center as a Lead Childcare Teacher or Assistant Childcare Teacher, where you will inspire young minds in a nurturing environment. We are dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education in Wilmington, DE, and are looking for passionate educators to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive and social development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate with parents.
- Facilitate age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and learning.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Attend professional development workshops to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- CURRENTLY hold a DELAWARE STATE ISSUED TECE1 & TECE 2, CDA or DEGREE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early learning standards.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to creating a supportive learning atmosphere.
