Logistics Associate Full Time/Evenings - 2:00pm-10:30pm (08-HR)

Overview The Logistics Associate is responsible for supporting the operations of the Distribution & Logistics Department for Stanford Health Care and Stanford Memorial Hospital. The role involves breakout, storage, and product return of clean and sterile items for inpatient and surgical settings, includes order entry, customer service, inventory management, supply and linen replenishment, cart builds and record keeping. Responsibilities Perform basic order entry, customer service, inventory management, supply and linen replenishment, cart builds, and maintain records. Participate in departmental patient safety and performance improvement initiatives. Assist with training and orientation of new staff. Replenish all Supply Chain managed stocking locations with 100% fill accuracy verified by audits. Conform to standard procedures for storing and distributing supplies in accordance with federal, state and regulatory requirements. Assess, identify, and respond to urgent or stat requests efficiently. Inventory and restock all Supply Chain managed locations using a mobile handheld device. Maintain a professional work environment; keep area clean, organized, and safe. Practice good time management, professional behavior, appearance and attendance. Manage information using manual or electronic systems for shift activities. Report discrepancies or unusual activities to Lead/Supervisor. Perform correct breakout of all products, ensuring integrity of packaging. Ensure timely delivery and pickup of orders for supplies, linen, and medical gas cylinders. Partner and coordinate with biomedical services to store, maintain, and distribute medical equipment. Receive and process phone orders, generate purchase requisitions, and enter data into electronic database. Restock or redistribute returned products, following guidelines for accepting returns and proper stock rotation. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Minimum one year of inventory management and/or materials handling and restocking. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to use email and basic word processing. Self‑motivated, quick learner, and able to adhere to protocols. Ability to work in a fast‑paced and physical environment. Adaptability and comprehension of new computer systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic arithmetic and inventory calculation skills. Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies. English speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension for hospital staff, physicians, and public. Licenses & Certifications None required. Compensation Base Pay Scale: $31.70 – $35.56 per hour, based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
