About the Role:
PROVISION MANPOWER RESOURCES LLC is looking for a skilled EDM Machine Operator / EDM Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity to put your precision machining expertise to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment including wire EDM and sinker EDM machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to program and execute machining operations
- Program CNC EDM machines and make adjustments to optimize cutting parameters, speed, and accuracy
- Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment
- Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and documentation in compliance with shop standards
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience operating wire EDM and/or sinker EDM machines
- Proficiency in CNC programming and EDM machine setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspection processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, tight-tolerance work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment
