Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Abbott Park, IL

Pay: $33.75

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm

What's the Job?

Maintain plant electrical and mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
Assist in installing various components such as seals, bearings, belts, and sprockets.
Read electrical schematics, wire from diagrams, and use electrical and precision tools to complete work.

What's Needed?

Technical degree with a minimum of two years of maintenance experience.
Experience working with robotics in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
Flexibility to work from 6am to 2:30pm and adapt for potential conversion opportunities.
Proficiency in repairing gear heads, reducers, pumps, and electrical motors.
Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and perform welding, fabrication, and electrical repairs.
