Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, primary and secondary assessments, and prioritization of care.
- Administer medications, IVs, fluids, and treatments, monitor responses, and intervene for life-threatening emergencies as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, communicate with patients and families, and document care plans and updates.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions; prepare for post-emergency care and referrals.
- Demonstrate leadership on shift as assigned, assign tasks appropriately, and support other staff to ensure safe, effective care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards; maintain accurate records and participate in ongoing improvement activities.

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; active licensure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment with holiday rotation and shift flexibility as required
