Food Service WorkerThe food service worker supports daily food production operations in a school kitchen that serves students. The position is responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling food items, serving students meals, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and able to work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals. This part-time position follows the Woodridge SD 68 school calendar and starts in August. Monday- Friday 8am-1pm. No nights, weekends, or holidays.Essential duties and responsibilities:Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedulesWash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distributionAssist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are metLabel, date, and store food products following food safety guidelinesOperate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knivesMaintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
