Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 09/08/2026 for a weeks assignment on a 3x12-hour Night shift. Weekly pay range: $1,570–$1,683. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Setting: Hospital. This travel opportunity requires an active RN license in Idaho or a compact state, BLS, and solid med-surg clinical experience focused on adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients during night shifts, including post-op, sepsis, respiratory failure, COPD, AKI, diabetes, and GI conditions.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and IV therapies, manage vascular access (IVs, peripheral/PICC/central lines), and perform associated procedures (wound care, CBI, chest tubes as applicable).
- Implement isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and CIWA/substance withdrawal monitoring as indicated; ensure patient safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory Services, PT, Social Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in Epic; respond to rapid response and code events as part of the unit’s care team.
- Provide education to patients and families, coordinate with the care team for timely transfers and follow-up plans, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Current RN license in Idaho or a compact state; license must be in hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience preferred; travel experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts; ability to float to other units if competent and approved
- Proficiency with Epic charting; strong EMR/computer skills
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN credentials
