Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel assignment requiring 5+ years of experience and RRT or CRT certification.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department in an 81-bed facility
• Treats adult, pediatric, and newborn (birthing center) patients
• Uses Fisher & Paykel Airvo 2, Respironics V60, Drager Evita Infinity V500, Getinge Servo-s, and Hamilton T1 ventilators
• Epic EMR used
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Weekend coverage of 24 hours every other weekend
• Floating to Waldo County General Hospital as needed, within a 25-mile float policy between facilities

Requirements

• RRT or CRT certification (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 5 years of experience plus prior travel experience required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Able to work independently
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Work as part of a patient-centered, professional respiratory therapy team
• Scrubs of any color accepted; open-toe shoes and hats not permitted
• May be required to work holidays as needed
• First-time travelers not specified as eligible
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimized, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this information
