Responsibilities
• Assists to diagnose and troubleshooting issues with assembly and powder coating equipment and any issue with general building maintenance.
• Assists to perform all preventative maintenance (PM) work on the assembly, paint line equipment and building HVAC, mini-split and general upkeep of building grounds and property.
• Dismantle defective equipment pumps, burners, IR, and repair or replace defective parts.
• Understand and troubleshoot electrical wiring, sensors, relays, transformers and building’s electrical issues, faulty switches, outlets and circuit breakers.
• Assists in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals along with the water drainage piping, water supply and natural gas supply piping.
• Maintenance on forklifts, scissors lifts, air compressors, boom lifts, warehouse ramps, overhead door, dock stations and material handling equipment, including general building maintenance monitoring.
• Change belts, bearings, pulleys, conveyors, membranes, filters and motors as required.
• Documents repairs made to equipment utilizing maintenance requests as per assignment and maintaining required equipment and supplies need for equipment and building operation maintenance.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or electrical engineering, or similar fields is preferred.
- 5+ years of painting, powder coating or surface treatment and building maintenance/operations or engineering experience required.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and PLC troubleshoot operation.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment and building maintenance manuals.
- Effective communication skills to report machinery and building maintenance repair status to the Facilities Manager and other Supervisors.
