Our people-centered approach to associate experience and engagement is rooted in our Core Values.Millwork Material Handler/Forklift Operator Key Responsibilities:Receive, select, and load materialsOperate forklift safely and efficientlyVerify accuracy of orders after packaging and loadingProvide basic customer service to internal and external customersWork with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks dailyPerform daily safety checks on forkliftsPerform basic maintenance to assigned motorized equipmentPerform a variety of duties to maintain control over inventories ensuring inventories are secured, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel at a distribution location.Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.Ensure that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct to maintain accurate physical and record inventories.Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and sales orders and forecasts.Maintain good housekeeping in work area.Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation.Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements:Basic: High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experienceAble to understand and follow safety/work instructionsComfortable with physical work in all weather conditionsPreferred: Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)Familiarity with millworkExperience utilizing an inventory control scanner (RFN)Able to measure and calculate material lengthsPhysical: Able to move door slabs up to 50 pounds repeatedlyAble to handle pre-hung units up to 100 poundsWork in tandem using safe lifting practicesWork Environment: High traffic warehouse and shopRepetitive physical motionThe ideal candidate will uphold our core values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, and Excellence, and consistently demonstrate strong teamwork skills that contribute positively to the team environment.About Boise CascadeBoise Cascade has been in the business of manufacturing wood products and distributing building materials for over half a century.
