Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and goals
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and administrators
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to solving challenges

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs related to functional independence, educational access, and participation
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct therapy services to address fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert recommendations and progress updates
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into classroom routines
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, session notes, and communication logs
• Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and support for carryover of strategies at home
• Adapt therapy techniques and interventions to be culturally and developmentally appropriate
