MAIN DUTIES:

The Massage Therapistis responsible fordelivering exceptional massage and body treatments in a safe, professional, and personalized manner. This role focuses on creating a restorative, luxury spa experience by assessing individual guest needs, executing treatments with skill and care, andmaintainingthe highest standards of service, cleanliness, and confidentiality. The Massage Therapist serves as an ambassador of the spa and brand, ensuring every guest interaction reflects warmth,expertise, and attention to detail.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Perform massage and body treatments according to established treatment protocols and guest preferences Greet guests warmly with a professional salutation, ensuring a welcoming and calming experience Conduct guest consultations to assess physical well-being, preferences, and contraindications prior to treatment Customize treatments asappropriate tomeet individual guest needs while adhering to treatment guidelines Explain treatment services, techniques, and benefits clearly and professionally Educate guests on recommended home-care products and spa services; actively support retail sales initiatives Maintainaccurateand complete guest treatment records while ensuring strict confidentiality of all personal and medical information Uphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards for treatment rooms, tools, and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and serene treatment environment and shared spa facilities Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, product knowledge sessions, and team initiatives Be knowledgeable of all spa services, amenities, and resort offerings to confidently answer guest inquiries Conduct spa facility tours for guests as requested Report any guest concerns, treatment issues, injuries, or equipment malfunctionsimmediatelyto leadership Arrive for scheduled shifts on time, prepared, and in professional presentation Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods Maintain a positive, guest-focused attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications;properly storeflammable materials Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information Embody the 1 Hotels Vision,Missionand Compass; deliver on Our Promise, provide Good-NaturedServiceand uphold our Brand Pillars Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support spa operations

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalent required Current, valid state massage therapy license in good standing (state-specific licensingrequired) Minimum of 2 years of experience providing massage and body treatments in a luxury spa or resort environment preferred Massage therapist Certificate Strong knowledge of massage modalities, body treatments, and contraindications Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills Professional, polished appearance and demeanor Ability to educate guests and confidently recommend spa products and services Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and guest comfort Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Basic computerproficiency;experience with spa booking systems preferred Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions; capable of lifting and carrying supplies as needed Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Starwood Hotelsis an equal opportunity employer.
