About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: 1 year CVICU experience after orientation completion Description: Traveling nurses must start on specified dates throughout the year. The facility consists of multiple specialty departments including brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, general, and vascular surgery. Emergency and inpatient rehabilitation services are also available. The unit features 8 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally requiring 1:1 care. Key equipment includes Impella, IABP, and CRRT. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. The targeted patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills. Preferred skillset includes experience in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotids. The required education is an Associate Nursing Degree. Dress code permits any professional scrub color. Unacceptable attire is not specified. This position has been created as a contractor replacement. Weekend hours are required every other weekend or as needed by the facility. There are no on-call requirements. Float requirements will be determined per scheduled rotation.
