Description: Local is defined as within 75 miles of the facility and is $-3. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. NJ or compact license in hand. ACLS, BLS, PALS. Cat Scan and MRI experience preferred, but will provide unit based training to qualified candidates. This position is for the Radiology Department. Primarily in CT dept. and MRI dept. The start will be 10am-8:30pm. This shift will be an 10hr. shift.

IMPORTANT DETAILS: Local Resources Permitted at lower rate 75 Mile Radius RN s must be prepared to complete a Basic Arrhythmia Exam that is not multiple choice. This exam requires you to independently interpret cardiac rhythms using EKG strips and perform necessary calculations to determine the correct answers. This is a PASS FAIL exam. A score of 80% is required and no re-takes are allowed. You should be able to: Accurately analyze EKG strips using systematic interpretation (rate, rhythm, P waves, PR interval, QRS complex, etc.), with measurements using the 5 steps process Calculate heart rate using appropriate methods (e.g., 6-second strip, R-R interval) Identify and differentiate between rhythm types without prompts or answer choices The exam will include, but is not limited to: Ventricular rhythms Atrial rhythms Heart blocks Junctional rhythms Paced rhythms Strong foundational knowledge and the ability to apply critical thinking skills in rhythm interpretation are essential for success. Traveler must begin lab work within 2 business days of acceptance, or they are at risk of cancellation Floating: All current and future travelers at the Valley Hospital Paramus and The Valley Hospital Float Pool are expected to float, as needed, to the Ridgewood Observation Unit (an offsite location in Ridgewood, NJ). Modules: Modules are both non-billable and billable Non-Billable: time spent on modules during 8 hours of NBO Billable: time spent on modules after orientation (ex: annually) Modules are completed pre-start during orientation and annually, and modules vary by specialty Modules are self-reported as well as recorded via transcripts and facility reports
