Position: Psychotherapist CSH • Location: 2840 Morris Ave., Union, NJ 07083 • Department: Psychology • Pay Range: $80,000.00 – $103,000.00 per year • Status: Full‑time, Day shift. Job Overview The Psychotherapist provides behavioral health diagnostic assessments and therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults. The role focuses on identifying and addressing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and psychological factors that impact functioning, development, and overall well‑being. Services are delivered through individual, family, and caregiver‑focused interventions designed to improve emotional regulation, adaptive coping, behavioral functioning, and engagement in daily activities. The Psychotherapist collaborates with medical, rehabilitation, and community providers to support patients in reaching their full potential. Eligible candidates may hold a LCSW, LSW, LPC, or LMFT license. Qualifications Required Master's Degree with completed clinical hours and licensed to work in NJ LCSW: MA in Social Work and NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker LSW: MA in Social Work and NJ Licensed Social Worker LMFT: Doctorate in Marriage or Family Therapy (or related field) and NJ Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist LPC: MA in Counseling (or related field) and NJ Licensed Professional Counselor American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification Preferred Doctorate Degree One year of psychotherapy experience Certifications and Licenses Required NJ LCSW, LSW, LMFT, or LPC AHA BLS Certification Scheduling Requirements Full time (40 hours per week) Evening and/or weekend hours may be required Essential Functions Interpret assessment data and disseminate findings accurately and sensitively, according to department policy Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations Develop and guide individual evidence‑based treatment plans Provide psychotherapy as indicated to address the issues impacting the patient’s functioning Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Provide support for chronic illness, injury, or disability in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Collaborate with families, schools, and others to fulfill treatment goals Identify and respond to safety concerns Maintain compliance with documentation, ethical, legal standards, and regulatory requirements Provide clinical supervision or training to staff, fellows, interns, and externs (as applicable) Attend program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluated Provide in‑services to staff and community agencies as requested by the supervisor Provide effective team consultation as needed Work effectively as a team member in a hospital or outpatient setting, relating therapeutically with children, adolescents, parents, and significant others Demonstrate flexibility in work hours and performance of duties Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
