KBF is managed by LaTour Hotels and Resorts and is an EOE!POSITION SUMMARY The Houseman provides support to rooms division while maintaining the cleanliness and sanitization of all inside and assigned outdoor public areas of the property and interacts with guests in a manner that promotes a positive impression of the staff and property. This position creates a comfortable and clean guest environment, which contributes to guest satisfaction and the success of the resort. This position is vital to guest satisfaction by supporting the rooms division and maintaining an overall pleasant appearance for our guests.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Houseman:Performs daily assignments and projects set by the department supervisor or Resort ManagementPicks up and disposes of litter and bagged guest room trash daily throughout the propertyMaintains all trash receptacles and recycling bins, both inside and outside throughout the property.Maintains the cleanliness of all outdoor seating areas, grills, pool deck, etc.Maintains and cleans offices, lobby, public restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes common area laundry room and main laundry room.Keeps common area bathrooms stocked with fresh guest towels and removes used towels to be laundered.Vacuums, sweeps, mops and polishes floors using equipment provided.Cleans carpet, upholstered furniture and window coverings in common areas and guest rooms as directed.Washes walls, ceilings, windows, door panels, and woodwork in all public areas.Assists room attendants in preparing, lifting, carrying, stocking, etc. work carts or guest rooms appropriate inventory.Responsible for sanitization of resort staff areas and common areas.Replenishes storerooms and admin areas with amenities, paper products, supplies, linens, and terry as needed to ensure adequate stock is always available.Inspects common areas for repairs and reports needs to his/her supervisor accordingly.Communicates often with Supervisor, front desk, and housekeeping staff on the status of rooms, laundry, inventory, cleaning needs and maintenance needs.Completes an approved checklist to submit to his/her supervisor at the end of each workday.OTHER FUNCTIONS The Houseman may also:Serve as a room attendant to replenish guest rooms with amenities, supplies, linens, and terry in accordance property our standards.Pre-treat, washes, dries and fold all laundry consistent with property standards.Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth property operations, cleanliness and sanitization.Work on projects with other departments on property as deemed by the General ManagerPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education/Credentials High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required.
