Senior Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade and patch Oracle database software
- Set up, monitor, and perform disaster recovery solutions for Oracle Databases
- Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures and other database objects
- Tune database for performance and monitor performance trends
- Set up Database backup and disaster recovery procedures and perform database recoveries
- Develop operating system scripts to automate backups, data transfers, monitoring, etc
- Assist developers and end-users with database usage, query development and tuning
- Provide direction to less senior DBA's
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Confirm with all company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Full life cycle support of client's database(s). Database system utilizes RAC and non-RAC for OLTP and warehouse, Active Dataguard for DR, partitioning on 11g, 12c and 19c for Active/Active data replication.
- Install, upgrade and patch Oracle database software
- Working experience in installing and configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c.
- Troubleshoot and tune database instance, SQL queries using AWR, ASH, SQL trace etc.
- Hands-on abilities in creating and managing partitions.
- In-depth knowledge of administration in Linux (RHEL) and AIX command-line environment. Proficient in writing and maintaining UNIX shell scripts to automate system tasks.
- Experience with OID/LDAP is a plus
- Experience in managing Oracle databases in ODA environment is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Working experience in installing and configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c. Also experience in older versions of Oracle
