To meet these demands, our team is composed of multi-disciplinary individuals that possess the abilities to design, install, maintain and troubleshoot anything from pneumatic systems to electrical and computer control systems.

Rotating Shift Structure:

• 4-on/4-off rotation equates to 6-months off every year!
• Rotating day/night shift every 2 months
• 12-hour shifts: 6:00AM - 6:00PM / 6:00PM - 6:00AM

What You Will Do

The Maintenance Mechanic I role is a facility and industrial maintenance position whose core job duties will include:

• Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on all facility and process related equipment to include make-up air units (MAU), natural gas fired generators, oil/water separators, cooling water towers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, variable frequency drives, boilers, steam systems, and associated equipment
• Analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
• Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
• Observe and follow environmental, health and safety procedures.
• Positively represent Collins Aerospace's company vision and support the management team
• Know, understand and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and consistently implemented
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance records utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action
• Ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained
• Operate the following equipment and tools:
  • Forklift
  • 3-ton and 5-ton Cranes
  • Hand tools
  • Power tools
  • Digital Multimeter
  • Precision alignment tools

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma a GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role

Qualifications We Prefer

• Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
• 1 or more year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Possess and practice good people skills
• Must have the ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office

The hourly rate for this role is $22.00/hour USD. The hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
