Maintenance Technician Senior

Workers in this role are responsible for a range of maintenance tasks, equipment repair, and continuous improvement activities throughout manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Perform expert-level break‑fix and preventative maintenance, including observing devices in operation, dismantling to remove defective parts, testing electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, and reconditioning machine tools. Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items; evaluate alternatives to enhance cost and reliability. Execute maintenance independently according to industry standards. Collaborate with Planner Scheduler to optimize preventative maintenance procedures. Set up and operate multiple machining operations such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools; perform welding tasks when required. Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards. Lead, drive and participate in continuous improvement activities, applying CI tools and methodology to achieve process, results and cost‑saving objectives. Assist lower‑level technicians and leadership on project teams; provide expert functions as part of training and development. Troubleshoot and analyze complex control systems to resolve in‑depth software/hardware and configuration problems. Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data, observe trends and make recommendations. Update records, review CMMS history and analyze data. Complete and conduct on‑the‑job training and technical self‑study programs for career development. Follow all safety‑related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines; maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions. Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). Associate’s degree with a technical focus and 5 years of related experience in a specific industry; or 7 years of experience in a specific industry. Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment. Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; ability to analyze problems, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. Proficiency with basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate. Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment. May be required to travel. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit. Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Requires close visual and color vision. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work performed in a factory environment that is typically loud; may expose employee to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors. Benefits ATS believes in fair and equitable pay.
