Manufacturing AssemblerThe Manufacturing Assembler in the Buy & Mark area is responsible for accurately labeling commercial off the shelf (COTS) cables and assets according to established label charts. This role ensures that all components are correctly identified, tracked, and ready for downstream assembly or shipment, supporting on time delivery and compliance with quality standards.Core ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret detailed label charts, work instructions, and part listsVerify that the correct revision and version of each chart are being usedSelect, position, and affix the appropriate labels to cables, connectors, and related assetsEnsure labels are legible, properly oriented, and securely attachedPerform visual inspections to confirm correct labeling and placementConduct spot checks against reference documentation; report any discrepanciesRecord labeling activities in the production tracking system (e.g., MES, SAP)Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standardsFollow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentCollaborate with production team members to meet production deadlines and achieve quality goalsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate simple machineryAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlinesBasic computer skills and ability to operate label printing softwarePhysical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move around the production areaAbility to work in a team environment and follow established safety protocolsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsUnderstanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagramsAbility to identify and interpret dimensions, tolerances, and other specificationsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a production or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with wire cutting and label printing equipmentBasic knowledge of electrical assemblies and wiring configurationsCertification in a related field, such as IPCWork EnvironmentThe Buy & Mark Assembler will work in a production environment with moderate noise. The production area is climate-controlled, and the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided.
