Physician / Clinical Leadership
This role involves supervising physicians and surgeons engaged in perioperative activities, including overseeing co-management agreements across various surgical specialties.
In collaboration with the Vice President of Perioperative Services, this position ensures the smooth operation of clinical services while aiding in the creation and implementation of clinical policies.
Working alongside the Chief of Surgery, this role helps guide the Perioperative Services Executive Committee (PSEC) and maintains ongoing communication regarding physician-related initiatives and priorities.
Medical Staff Office
This position works closely with Medical Staff leadership on issues concerning physicians who utilize perioperative services, focusing on governance, compliance, and risk management.
It also addresses concerns raised by physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), fostering a culture of accountability and engagement.
Quality & Accreditation
Collaboration with clinical and operational leaders is essential to enhance quality, patient safety, and surgical outcomes within perioperative services.
This role also supports efforts related to accreditation readiness and compliance.
Physician Relations
Establishing strong connections with physicians and APPs is crucial, as this role promotes engagement and ongoing medical education initiatives.
Education & Experience
MD or DO degree is required, with board certification or eligibility.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in surgery or perioperative practice is necessary.
Proven leadership experience in clinical or medical staff roles is essential.
