Certifications: BLS, chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions

Must-Have: Neutropenic precautions, IV skill and management, Isolation precautions, Experience with patient populations such as COPD, diabetes, cellulitis, pancreatitis, sickle cell, oncology, and hospice

Description: Our unit specializes in palliative care and oncology. We require candidates with inpatient medical experience. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Holiday requests must be pre-approved. No holiday requests will be approved for Christmas. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Staff are required to manage chemotherapy and administer blood transfusions. Patient care involves various diagnoses, including COPD, diabetes, and oncology. We offer interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and pharmacy services. Travelers may float within facility or nearby units based on census and volume. All required certifications must be obtained prior to the start date. Travelers returning to this facility must be separated for 1 year before returning.
