Medical billing clerk

Randstad is recruiting for an experienced medical billing clerk. The qualified candidate will work with patients who have outstanding amounts, communicate with medical aid companies and obtain authorization for payment of medical services. Will regularly monitor patient accounts and make arrangements with the medical aid to ensure that accounts are settled on time. Must be well-versed in insurance guidelines and procedures and answer patient queries calmly and efficiently.

salary: $14 - $15 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Manage patient accounts and prepare invoices

Input patient information and maintain up-to-date records of patient data using computer software

Perform administrative tasks

Acquire and record medical aid details from patients and corresponding with the medical aid company to obtain authorization

Ensure patient records, accounts, and payments are meticulously handled

Keep all patient records confidential
