Director, Asset Management

RETS Associates on behalf of our client is seeking a Director, Asset Management in Irvine, CA to lead an 8.5MSF office portfolio; the execution of property-level business plans and asset strategies across a commercial office portfolio. This strategic role focuses on maximizing asset value through financial analysis, leasing strategy, capital deployment, and cross-functional collaboration with leasing, operations, and executive leadership.
The Director, Asset Management will oversee property valuations, lease and acquisition underwriting, investment analysis, and business planning. This individual will prepare investment recommendations for executive leadership, monitor asset performance, support quarterly forecasting, analyze market trends, and work closely with internal teams and brokerage partners to drive portfolio performance. Requirements- 7+ years of progressive commercial real estate asset management or acquisitions experience
- Strong financial modeling expertise, including DCF, IRR, and NPV analysis
- Advanced Excel and ARGUS proficiency with strong underwriting skills
- Experience with commercial office leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and property cash flow analysis
- Proven ability to develop and execute asset-level business plans and investment strategies
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence decision-making and lead projects
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel as needed
