As a Security Officer Storage Facility Patrol in Laurel, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or visitor access as required, and communicate with site contacts regarding deliveries, contractors, and/or operational concerns.
- Support order at the location by observing equipment areas, restricted spaces, and high-traffic zones for security-related issues and reporting maintenance, access, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
