Constellation Health Servicesis seeking aPatient / Family Volunteerfor HospiceConstellation Health Services’ Hospice program is looking for volunteers to visit patients who have terminal illnesses. Make a difference in your community, be part of the hospice team, and have a flexible volunteer schedule. A few hours a week can make a big difference to someone nearing the end of life!Patient/Family Volunteer Description:Provide support for patient/familyProvide respite for patient caregiversProvide companionship to patientsRun errands for patients or caregiversPrepare meals for patientsPerform light housekeepingRead to patients, play music, watch videos, listen to music, crafts, talk, quite companionshipRequirements:At least 18 years old.Able to commit for one year to our program.Able to commit to at least 4 hours per week.Ability to listen deeply, interest in and compassion for others, good boundaries and self-care, and meet people where they’re at in energy and tone.Online training takes approximately 20 hours and is personally enriching, focusing on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy.No close death in the last yearWhy Constellation?Family-Centered Culture: At Constellation, we treat our team members like family.
