Wal-Mart #1821 9101 Albemarle Rd Charlotte, NC 28227-2621 Position Summary Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs. Provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer‑Member service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards. Oversee implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good members of the community. Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, and developing action plans to improve performance. Direct Vision Center Associates in maintaining confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records. Supervise and develop Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. Provide quality eyewear service by consulting with Members, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment. Responsibilities Implement and support Company programs and strategic initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs. Build accountability and measure progress toward goals, identifying and communicating improvement opportunities. Promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and inclusiveness, supporting the Open Door Policy. Lead high‑performing teams, embrace differences, and create an environment where associates thrive. Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college, or 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience, or 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
